Anchored Downtown Campaign

This campaign is driven by a Gospel-centered conviction: in Jesus we have a hope that cannot move, no matter what. He holds us in every storm, carries us daily with his love, and we have a firm and secure future in heaven with Him. God has anchored many in his love right before our eyes, and by any means possible we seek to ANCHOR people in Christ right here in the heart of Marquette. It’s about much more than raising funds to purchase a building for our ministry, it’s about putting down permanent roots in the heart of Marquette, so that by God’s grace, souls may be served and saved.
We believe the message of Jesus is worth everything, and we’re willing to sacrifice what’s comfortable, take bold next steps, and proactively put our gifts together to purchase a future ministry building to physically and spiritually serve our community. While we don’t know what the building is, we firmly believe that God does. God has called us here for a high purpose, and 60% of our city is waiting to hear about the love of Jesus and walk with him. Therefore, every dollar is about people: the ones already here, the ones still on the margins, and the ones we haven’t met yet.
Campaign Goal: $400,000 over the next two years
Over the next two years, we are prayerfully committed to raising $400,000 to accomplish three high-impact priorities:
1. Purchase a permanent ministry space in downtown Marquette
Goal: $200,000
We are currently outgrowing our rented ministry space just 1 year into ministry. God is pouring out blessing upon blessing, and one by one God is claiming souls for his kingdom. Before we can preach and teach Jesus to this city in full force, we must have a building that can accommodate larger worship service, consistent community service events, and increase our impact on this city. We are convinced that downtown is where God is calling us to do this ministry. Over 60% of our adult confirmands have come to Anchor by its proximity to everyday life.

- Capitalize on WELS CEF matching Grant dollars
- Proactivity - being ready to engage on the right property when it comes available
- Showing our community that we are here to stay.
- Unite our church family around a common goal and capitalize on momentum
2. Renovate
Goal: $100,000
This investment will help us FORM a beautiful, functional, and Christ-Centered ministry space.
What this makes possible:
- Having a 10% downpayment ready to renovate our building up to $1 MILLION
- Capitalize on WELS CEF matching Grant dollars
- Hiring contractors
3. Furnish
Goal: $100,000
This investment will help us FILL a beautiful, functional, and Christ-Centered ministry space.
What this makes possible:
- Worship together in a permanent building as one church family
- Fill our beautiful building with furnishing and fixtures that glorify God
- Giving people a church that they are proud to call home as they encounter Jesus
What this will bring
Marquette county is filled with people searching for hope, identity, and truth. We are committed to helping them find life in Christ by building meaningful bridges into their lives.
This investment will help us:
- Grow our church family to 100+ members
- Engage 130+ worshipers weekly through in-person and online worship services
- Reach 1,500 first-time guests with personal follow-up and welcoming spaces
- Guide 75 adults through confirmation and into a life of faith
- Expand staffing and leadership to care for a growing, diverse congregation
- Improve technology, facilities, and outreach experiences to strengthen connection
